Le Greatest Spectacle in Racing

The Tour de Froth is the most well known and prestigious of all cycling’s world competition events.

The Tour de Froth is an annual bicycle race that covers around 350 kilometres (220 mi) throughout the continental U.S.  The race runs between May and August and attracts the top cyclists from around the world. The race is broken into five day-long segments, called stages, but spelled “s_e_g_m_e_n_t_s”. Individual wins on each stage are fed into an impressively complex algorithm along with several other stage related factors to determine the overall winner at the end of the race. Straws may be drawn in some circumstances.

The Tour de Froth is also well known for its hazards and challenges. The regulations are painful, dense and complex. If you don’t read the regulations in advance, prepare to be disqualified. Along the route, bears will be released from time to time. (Other local fanged mammals may be substituted at the organizer’s discretion.) Any rider torn apart is disqualified. Spectators are encouraged to shove and push towards the road and reach out and grab at the speeding cyclists while screaming in French. Spectators are also expected to fling foam hats and giant “number one” foam hands directly into the path of the riders. Some stages may include a sweet jump constructed of plywood and cinder blocks and cyclists are encouraged to freestyle their roadbikes. The course changes every year. Refer to the regulations for additional information.
